General guidelines for care and use of fine jewellery
If you wish to keep the jewellery’s beautiful shine and sparkle, it needs to be cleaned regularly. This is easily done:
1. Pour luke warm water in a bowl and add a few drops of mild detergent to the water.
2. Put the jewellery in the water and let it soak for 15-20 minutes. 3. Brush the jewellery with a soft toothbrush and clean with water. It is important also to brush the backside of the jewellery, as dirt on a stone’s rear will reduce the shine significantly. 4. Dry the jewellery with a soft cloth
Keep your jewellery away from lotion, perfume, hair spray, oil, and soap which can leave a film on the jewellery and can cause the shine and sparkle to fade. Avoid to wear jewellery when showering, during sports and gardening as scratches and blows can damage the fitting of the gemstone.
Put the jewellery on last before you leave home and take it off first thing when you get home.
